Featuring the Gymea Lily – Doryanthes excelsa surrounded by plants typically found within the Sutherland Shire –

Flannel Flowers, waratahs, wax flowers, drumsticks, spider flowers, pea flowers, saw banksia, purple flag, grevillea, hakea, coral fern, and wattle.

This work was developed for the Florafed exhibtion at Hazelhurst Regional Art Gallery for the Centenary of Federation in 2001.

Aquisitions by Sutherland Shire Council  for their Sister City – Chou, Tokyo in 2001 along with the linocut Kurnell, an Endangered Ecology highlighting the threatened ecological community in Kurnell.
