The Scarlet Banksia – Banksia coccinea – is also known as the Waratah Banksia.
It’s habit of growing on long stems enabling the red flowers to be seen is similar to the Waratah.
It is a Western Australian banksia and is commonly used within the floristry industry.
The (Queensland) Silver Wattle – Acacia podalyriifolia – is a spectacular winter flowering wattle with silvery blue leaves and bright balls of yellow flowers.
