Australian Artist & Linocut Printmaker

Born in 1963 in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney.

Moved to Northern Rivers – Far North Coast NSW in 1990.

EDUCATION

1982 – 1985 – City Art Institute (CityArt InstituteCOFA (University of NSW) – UNSW Art & Design)

1996 – 2007 – Attended artists workshops with many artists/tutors including – om Offord, Jenny Macnaughton, Jocelyn Maughan, Robin Norling & Gillian Scott.

Currently Lynette Weir’s work is available through this website. Due to caring for her elderly family Lynette has currently scaled back exhibiting regularly in galleries but continues to work in her Studio practice most days & is available for exhibitions if requested.

ACQUISITIONS

2001 – Sutherland Shire Council – Lynette was commissioned to produce 2 works based on the Sutherland Shire – these now form part of a collection for the Sutherland Shire Sister City Chuo, Tokyo, Japan

 ‘Wildflowers Sutherland Shire’ & ‘Kurnell – An Endangered Ecology’

2013 – 2014 Lismore City Council – Lynette was commissioned to produce 2 works for the original Sister City Yamata Takada, Japan for he 50th Anniversary
