Waratah Tryptich

The Waratah is one of the most iconic and loved of Australian wildflowers. It’s strong architecture which includes a tall stalk with the large deep red or white flowers deep flowers set against large deep green leaves stand out in the surrounding bushland.

It is the New South Wales State Floral Emblem and has provided inspiration for artists and craftspeople. Depictions and adaptations of it have been used also within architecture/buildings and their adornments.
