Lynette’s work was highlighted in 2004 – 2005 by AFEC – Australian Flower Export Council – promoting Australian wildflowers overseas.
Her work was featured in Atlanta and in the display for the WORLD FLORAL EXPO in Miami.
THE AUSTRALIAN CELTIC FESTIVAL ARTS & CRAFTS EXHIBITION Glen Innes NSW 2004.
This exhibition was held in the Town Hall, Grey Street, Glen Innes. Lynette was invited to be the featured artist for this exhibition as part of the Australian Celtic Festival held in Glen Innes annually.
Lynette completed a special work for the festival which includes ‘celtic wildflowers’ alongside Australian wildflowers found around the Glen Innes area

Lynette Weir featured her Celtic Collection in a solo exhibition with a specially designed piece using wildflowers of Sutherland Shire with flowers representing Celtic ethnic groups – Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man and Cornwall

NEWCASTLE MATER MISERICORDIAE HOSPITAL DIVISION OF PALLIATIVE CARE COMMUNITY ART PROJECT
Lynette was invited to exhibit for four month her Celtic Collection for a ‘Celtic’ exhibition at Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Hospice NEWCASTLE NSW.
‘FLORAFED’ HAZELHURST REGIONAL GALLERY AND ARTS CENTRE COMMUNITY GALLERY Lynette was invited to be the featured artist for ‘Florafed’ – an exhibition held in April-May 2001 at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre Community Gallery. It was a Sutherland Shire Council Centenary of Federation and Heritage Festival Event.The focus of new work for this exhibition was the completion of the series of linocut prints based around the Australian Floral Emblems.
Lynette’s work formed part of Group Exhibition in the Palm House Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney to celebrate the New South Wales State floral emblem – the Waratah – Telopia speciossima Featured works below.
Currently Lynette Weir’s work is available through this website. Due to caring for her elderly family Lynette has currently scaled back exhibiting regularly in galleries but continues to work in her Studio practice most days & is available for exhibitions if requested. Lynette is able to exhibit from current work or produce a new body of work for both solo & group exhibitions.
